on Vancouver Island
Chris Messer, the photographer of the photo of Della Falls in Amazing British Columbia, lives in Victoria, the capital of BC. He wrote a bit about himself and his photo in the book:
My name is Chris Messer. I work full time in construction but spend as much time as possible practicing my love of photography. I've spent most of my life surrounded by the wild forests of BC. I quickly became fascinated with the world of outdoor wildlife photography.
Right now, I live in Victoria, working and exploring the many beautiful parks that surround the area.
My photo in the book was taken while flying above Della Falls, a relatively short trip from Port Alberni. It took a bit a bit of manoeuvring to get the camera outside of the small window (and a few skipped heartbeats at the thought of dropping it!) but I was happy coming away with the shot.
