Brian Smart, Photographer of the alligator lizard

Brian Smart came to Gibsons Elementary school where I teach to talk to the children about the forest. He showed us many photos, including one of the alligator lizard. I was so pleased when he agreed to let me put the photo in Amazing British Columbia.

Reading About the Alligator Lizard

This is the article I read about the alligator lizard.
  • Orchard, Stan A. (1984) "Amphibians and Reptiles of B.C.: An Ecological Review." Province of British Columbia: Ministry of Forests.
Here is a link to other books about lizards. Not all are about alligator lizards, but they are cousins and other relatives. (This link opens in a new window.)
